My name is Richard Veinot and I have the great honor of living  in  Northern Ontario, Canada.

I live up here on the southern edge of the Canadian Shield on the northern shore of Lake Huron, where the water and air is clean, fresh, and the winters are really cold. The geology of Northern Ontario is absolutely fascinating with some rocks being 3 billion years old and older.

I paddle my canoe for hundreds of kms following the lakes and rivers that the glaciers caved out of the earth exposing the Precambrian bedrock over 10,000 years ago. The native indigenous peoples traveled the rivers and lakes like highways to trade and gather food.

The driftwood consists of a wide variety of trees such as red maple, red oak, white birch, red pine, that are are well cleaned and sterilized. 

The rocks are handpicked from the rivers, creeks, lakes of the Sudbury/ Wanapitei Impact Craters and surrounding area in Northeastern Ontario, Canada

Types of rocks include basalt, quartz diorite, pegmatite, norite, quartz gabbro, felspar, to name some.
